ABOUT THE FORUM
Уважаемые дамы и господа!

The XX Gomel Economic Forum was held on May 21–22, 2026, in the city of Gomel. The forum program included a plenary session, the V Regional Business Forum “Gomel–Bryansk”, five strategic sessions, and the exhibition “Gomel Region – Development and Partnership”.

Approximately 1,500 people took part in the forum, including representatives of business communities, official delegations, enterprises, and organizations from 15 foreign countries: Russia, China, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Pakistan, India, Iran, Slovakia, Tajikistan, Zimbabwe, Vietnam, and Japan.

During the plenary session, participants were presented with investment opportunities and support measures available in the Republic of Belarus, as well as modern high-performance grain and forage harvesting machinery. Discussions focused on digitalization and AI-driven transformation as factors enhancing organizational competitiveness, the development of innovation infrastructure in the Gomel Region, investments in tourism, and the strengthening of cooperative and friendly ties. A number of cooperation documents were signed, including agreements in the areas of digital development for housing and utilities, education and tourism; the establishment of an industrial park in the city of Gomel; the development of the “Mashinostroitel” health resort in the Gomel District; the implementation of four manufacturing investment projects; and a memorandum between the Rogachev District Executive Committee and a company from the Fergana Region of the Republic of Uzbekistan concerning the development of livestock farming, dairy cattle breeding, and agricultural complexes.

At the session of the V Regional Forum “Gomel–Bryansk”, the investment and economic potential of the Gomel Region and prospects for the implementation of joint projects were presented. Action plans for implementing cooperation agreements between the regions and their administrative centers were signed, along with a cooperation agreement between the regional trade union organizations.

The Forum’s strategic sessions addressed issues related to the development of science and technology, the agro-industrial sector, the tourism industry, the application of artificial intelligence in business processes, and women’s entrepreneurship. A total of eight cooperation documents were signed between organizations, institutions, banks, universities, and business entities, including those operating in the tourism sector.

The exhibition “Gomel Region – Development and Partnership” attracted approximately 3,000 residents and forum guests. Covering more than 4,000 square meters, the exhibition featured 101 regional organizations showcasing their achievements and capabilities in agriculture, industry, design and construction, healthcare, education, scientific and innovative activities, and tourism.
